We have written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer ahead of the Autumn Budget on 26 November, setting out a series of practical proposals to support growth, fairness, and opportunity across the scaffolding and access industry.
Our submission outlines the vital contribution that our members make to the UK’s built environment and the everyday challenges they face – from rising costs and delayed payments to skills shortages and the pressures of regulation. We have put forward a balanced set of recommendations focused on skills investment, fair procurement, prompt payment, proportionate employment reform, targeted tax reliefs, and support for the green transition.
These are sensible, deliverable measures that would make a real difference. By backing the scaffolding and access sector, the Government can help unlock safer, more efficient construction, strengthen local economies, and accelerate delivery of its housing and infrastructure ambitions.
