Our Members

The Association has structured membership to accommodate the breadth of skills and capabilities within the scaffolding industry. At the centre of our membership criteria is the commitment to maintaining standards which are built around ensuring that our members have the right skills and resources to carry out contracts in a planned and controlled manner.

All potential members have to demonstrate competence and commitment to the Association’s high standards of safety and technical quality by signing our Code of Conduct. In addition, assessed and audited membership applications require client references, and commercial insurance details.

By using a Scaffolding Association member, employers can be confident that they are prequalifying and awarding work to contractors who have undertaken a rigorous assessment of their experience and capabilities, enabling more contractors to take part and bringing greater choice to employers.

Audited Membership has been developed in line with The Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 03/23 which stipulates using the health and safety question sets contained in both the Common Assessment Standard and PAS91 specifically for scaffolding contractors. This level involves an independent third party audit, against a scaffolding specific procurement standard.

Assessed Membership has been developed in order to recognise companies that hold a current Safety Schemes in Procurement Assessment Certificate.

Associate Membership is available to all companies that operate within the scaffolding industry and would benefit from specialist information and support.

Note: The services offered by Associate Members are not endorsed or warranted by the Scaffolding Association, nor do Associate Members have permission to hold themselves out as working with Members on behalf of the Scaffolding Association, unless the Scaffolding Association has made a specific exception and has confirmed this in writing.
