The Scaffolding Association is proud to have signed the Conflict Avoidance Coalition’s pledge on behalf of its members. The Coalition was set-up by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), where its purpose is to drive behavioral change in the way relationships and disputes are managed throughout the construction and engineering sectors.

As the UK’s largest trade body for scaffolding contractors, representing over 650 businesses in the sector, the Scaffolding Association is fully aware that the huge financial cost of disputes in the construction industry is measured in billions of pounds and can cause immeasurable harm to business relationships and brand reputations.

Signing the pledge signals to clients and suppliers that:

  • You are a good business to work with.
  • You maintain good business relationships and dealing with problems early and amicably, are keystones to your day-to-day commercial operations.
  • Your business is fully committed to delivering value for money and working collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and on par.
