The Scaffolding Association has become a Corporate Supporter of Building a Safer Future (BSF). The Association shares strategic goals with BSF of supporting the industry by encouraging an ongoing journey of improvement.

The BSF Champion assessment gives companies detailed insight into their existing leadership and culture around building safety and equips them with actionable data and practical tools to help review and upgrade processes, driving meaningful and measurable improvement in leadership and culture around building safety.

The Scaffolding Association and BSF intend to explore opportunities for further alignment and collaboration, and promote the benefits of engaging with BSF at both Registered Signatory and Champion status.

Robert Candy, CEO and founder of the Scaffolding Association said:

We are delighted to be working with Building a Safer Future as a Corporate Supporter and a signatory of the BSF Charter. As the UK’s largest independent not-for-profit trade association for the scaffolding and access sector, our ethos directly aligns with BSF as we have made considerable progress with our strategic campaign to raise health and safety standards, improve the levels of competence and promote the importance of pre-planning any projects within this sector. Our independent audit process for members reflects this. We look forward to the future where all workplaces are incident and injury free and everyone returns home safely”

Gary Townsend Vila, Interim Chief Executive of BSF commented:

“We welcome the Scaffolding Association as a Corporate Supporter of Building a Safer Future, and are looking forward to developing our relationship further to support companies in their building safety journeys. Our shared goals are key in helping organisations to meet their requirements, ensuring that risk profiles are reduced across the industry.”
