We’re delighted to confirm that Building a Safer Future (BSF) has rejoined the Considerate Constructors Scheme family of businesses.
BSF was previously a part of CCS and in early 2020, a new, not-for-profit, independent organisation (Building a Safer Future Ltd) was established with an independent governance structure, to lead and develop the Charter further.
While having different focal points, we share common goals around safety, collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement. We see this reconnection as an excellent opportunity to grow and scale up its ambition to drive that continuous improvement in safety leadership and culture across the built environment, drawing on CCS’s own expertise and resource to provide a united offering to the industry.
CCS is the independent champion for change in construction. It has worked side-by-side with the construction industry and the public for 30 years to raise standards, build trust in construction and hold the industry to account. Its Code of Considerate Practice promotes community engagement, environmental stewardship and workforce wellbeing.
In 2023, almost £200 billion of construction activity across more than 5,000 sites, suppliers and organisations registered with CCS and over 10,000 monitoring visits to sites took place.
The acquisition signals our continued commitment to improved safety and standards in
construction and we look forward to forging an even closer relationship to support clients in their building safety journeys.
We look forward to answering any further questions you may have on the acquisition.
